AcuPulse Co2 Skin Resurfacing
This exciting new technology means that you will achieve superficial and deep wrinkle improvement, blending of acne scars, and treatment of sun damage with minimal down time or discomfort. The procedure is performed in the office as a standalone procedure. Downtime ranges from 3-7 days, depending on the depth of resurfacing performed and the goals of the procedure. Mild pink discoloration may last another one week, which is significantly less than fully ablative procedures. The treatment may be applied to the neck using more conservative settings to achieve textural improvement.
How it works?
From Lumenis, this laser creates microscopic channels that trigger the process of new collagen and elastic fibers production, while leaving some unaffected skin in between the channels to reduce healing time. The result is deep dermal regeneration that dramatically improves your skin elasticity and appearance.
The concept of fractional technology was introduced in 2004. Basically, this technology allows for a fraction of the skin to be treated while the intervening areas are not ablated. These intact bridges of skin between the treated zones allows for rapid healing.
When will I see results?
The main advantage of Acupulse is that results are visible after one single treatment! As your skin heals following the treatment, you will begin to notice an improvement in wrinkles, fine lines, tone and texture. You should expect to continue to see improvement for up to two years following the treatment.
